Illustrated postcard designed to look like a slate chalkboard. Written in a chalk-like font is, "To my Valentine, Don't you want a sweet heart? Not a candy one but my heart, so sweet with love, that it weighs a ton!" Two stick figures are drawn beside it. Copyright 1906. The reverse is addressed to Mr. Lee Kilpatrick. Postmarked February 15, 1912. Message, "Oh you Lee am going home Sunday so my old address will be in vogue. Have hard some time alright. Agnes"

Black taffeta pillbox women’s hat. Black and dark iridescent rhinestones on top and sides of brim. Black netting around brim with netting bow at back. Lined with black taffeta. Black grosgrain ribbon sweatband inside of brim with stitched white star at front and brown label at back saying “Walton-Pierce Grosse Pointe” in white letters.
Black women’s fitted cap made of black lace design edged with glistening trim over stiff black netting. White stitching sewn at front of underside of hat. Two labels at back under hat: a small black label saying “Lilly Dache” with swirl in silver lettering and a larger white label detailing credit and exchange policy in black lettering. White label says: Due to our arrangement with Lilly Dache, hats bearing the Dache label cannot be accepted for Credit or Exchange.
Women’s hat made of braided straw with brim pointed at front and having a slit at the back. The crown is wide and fairly shallow while the brim is narrow. Narrow tan coloured velvet edges the brim all around. White fabric flowers with small green fabric leaves surround the base of the crown. Brown netting attached over flowers. Amber velvet bow at back. Tan grosgrain ribbon sweatband inside base of crown with white label sewn on at back saying “Hudson’s Salon Detroit” in green lettering.
